Red Hills Strategies is expanding with the addition of Megan Lee as a director and Lauryn Klostreich as a project coordinator.
Lee joins the Tallahassee-based communications firm after seven years in the Gov. Ron DeSantis administration, including serving as Deputy Communications Director for the Department of Children and Families and Deputy Director of Partnership at FloridaCommerce.
“Megan Lee not only brings a wide range of experience in communications tied to public policy, but she also has this incredible can-do attitude,” said Amanda Bevis, President and founder of Red Hills Strategies. “Megan will be a great partner to our clients in the agriculture, child welfare and technology industries and a true asset to Team Red Hills.”
Klostreich will report to Vice President Leigh McGowan. Her experience includes internships and fellowships in government, policy and event planning.
She interned in the Washington offices of U.S. Reps. Mike Haridopolos and Jimmy Patronis, both Florida Republicans, and in Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson’s Capitol office. She also spent more than a year and a half planning special events for the Governor’s Office.
Klostreich earned a master’s degree in American politics and policy and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Florida State University.
“From the state Capitol in Tallahassee to Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., Lauryn Klostreich has had a front-row seat at the state and federal levels of government,” said McGowan. “Her early experience and relationships will be a great value-add to our policy-related communications work in agriculture, healthcare and education.”
