Truett McConnell University is proud to  announce the official launch of its first doctoral program, the    Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Actionable Leadership and Innovation, housed within the Hans Hut School of Business. The inaugural cohort of DBA students began their studies this week, marking a historic milestone in the University’s academic growth. Applications are now open for the next cohort beginning January 2026.

The fully online DBA program equips professionals to become innovative leaders and applied researchers who address complex business challenges with excellence, integrity, and a biblical worldview. Students complete the Innovative Leadership Impact Doctoral Project (ILIDP) alongside their coursework, ensuring that their doctoral research is both practical and transformative for the organizations and communities they serve. The program can be finished in as little as 27 months.

“This is an exciting moment in the life of Truett McConnell University,” said Dr. Kimberly Maiocco, Dean of the College of Professional Studies and Chair of the School of Business. “The DBA represents not only our first doctoral degree but also our deep commitment to preparing leaders who will bring ethical decision-making, biblical principles, and innovative solutions into the global marketplace.”

The DBA joins TMU’s growing portfolio of graduate business programs, including the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Accountancy (MAcc), Master of Business Administration in Accounting (MBAAc), and Master of Public Administration (MPA), all offered 100% online to meet the needs of working professionals. Applications are now open for the next graduate cohort beginning October 2025. Most of these programs can be finished in as little as 12 months.
