In
honor of Memorial Day, here's a poem to remember and honor the brave individuals who have
made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country:
In
fields of valor, where heroes lie,
On hallowed ground beneath the sky,
We gather here with hearts so deep,
To honor those who eternal sleep.
Their names are etched on history's page,
Their sacrifice, a sacred wage,
They stood as guardians, brave and true,
For liberty and freedom, they knew.
In distant lands and on home soil,
They fought with courage, strength, and toil,
With steadfast hearts and spirits bright,
They battled darkness, fought the fight.
With each sunrise they faced the test,
In times of war, they gave their best,
Through peril, fear, and endless strife,
They laid down all they had in life.
We pause to remember those we've lost,
The valiant souls, no matter the cost,
Their memory we'll forever keep,
In our thoughts, they'll never sleep.
They were our brothers, sisters, and friends,
Whose journey reached untimely ends,
They answered duty's solemn call,
And for their sacrifice, we stand tall.
So, on this day, we bow our heads,
In gratitude for their noble threads,
We pledge to honor, never forget,
The brave heroes we cannot reset.
Their legacy burns forever bright,
Guiding us through the darkest night,

For the fallen heroes on Memorial Day.
