ST PETERSBURG, FL: Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Florida today announced their picks for Districts 2 and 8 in the St. Petersburg municipal elections. Both Lorraine Margeson and Amy Foster earned the support of SEIU FL’s public service, healthcare and property service workers in the Tampa Bay region.

"SEIU FL has endorsed Lorraine Margeson and Amy Foster, because we are confident they will bring people together to improve the welfare of St. Pete’s working families," said Alphonso Mayfield, President of SEIU-FPSU. "They have the knowledge, integrity and community spirit to get the job done."

SEIU FL represents more than 58,000 retired and active workers across the state of Florida, and they are part of the fastest growing union in America with over 2 million members. SEIU members provide vital services in St. Petersburg-area hospitals, nursing homes, public schools and city government.

The Union is committed to uniting workers and their communities to improve the quality of services they provide as well as the quality of life for their members’ families and the communities in which they work and live.
